More SBDCs Expand Their Reach With Publications

December saw Small Business Development Centers (SBDCs) in Samawa and Nassriya join Najaf in publishing monthly Newsletters and Magazines. The publications provide the SBDCs and their Chamber of Commerce parent organizations an opportunity to communicate to the greater business community in each province and offer local businesses an additional advertising channels. The Zaqoora and Samawa Small Business Development Centers have also established their own Print and Advertising Centers which produce their publications.

Eng. Thijeel Kareem, Executive Director of the Zaqoora Small Business Development Center was contacted by the Middle East Print Communication Magazine (www.meprinter.com) to profile their new Printing and Advertising Center. “This is the Middle East’s largest print media communication authority. To have them to profile us is a real honor.”

Samawa and Zaqoora Small Business Development Centers have both been awarded Performance Grants from USAID-Tijara to support their Printing and Advertising Centers and join Najaf SBDC with an award to develop and expand their monthly publications.
